Alclad

Postby carsenault » Tue Jul 27, 2010 10:02 pm

I got to experiment a bit more with some Alclad, and all I can say is wow! A lot easier to apply than I tought it would be. I primed my model with Mr Surfacer first, sanded that smooth, then applied a coat of Testor's gloss black spray paint, then once that had cured a few days, I got to work on the Alclad. I built up the color over 3 or 4 light coats. At first it looks like it'll take forever but then all of a sudden, the color takes hold, didn't even have to buff it. I cant wait to do a model or 2 with Alclad bare metal finishes.

Yes, the Alclad is sweet. When you need more/different colors, let me know.
Thanks

Will do Scott, Next on my to build list is a Desert Storm Tomcat, but I may put it off in favor of a CF-104D or P-51D.
